(TAI) CEO Muharrem Dörtkaşlı revealed yesterday that his company has enjoyed $2.2 billion in sales since its founding in 1984, adding that they expect to end the year with $360 million in revenue.Dörtkaşlı, who was speaking at the 25th anniversary of the company’s founding at a factory in Akıncı, Ankara province, pointed out that the company had employed 2,200 people from 1990 to 2009 and that they expected to increase staff numbers 15 percent in 2010, adding that they have made $600 million in profits since the company’s inception and have made $440 million in investments this year.Speaking about the company’s current activities, Dörtkaşlı highlighted that they have 100 ongoing projects at the moment, working with 15 countries, and have $20 billion in contracts for the period between 2009 and 2023. He reminded the audience that since 2005, the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TSKGV) has been the majority shareholder in the company. TAI focuses on the development and manufacturing of military aircraft, helicopters, satellites and unmanned planes.
