First post!! Glad to be a part of the forum! So I'm trying to accomplish a quasi 3 zone setup with my yam rx-v663. Currently i am running a 7.1 surround setup (zone 1) off the 663 as well as 2 Klipsch speakers on my deck controlled through zone 2. I am in the process of wiring my kitchen as well as dining room with one pair of stereo speakers each. I have purchased an audiosource 2 channel A+B amp to power these speakers which I'll call "zone 3" My question is concerning the zone 2 pre outs on the 663 that i want to use to feed the audiosource amp. It is my understanding that the pre outs will be affected by volume control on the 663. Can this be confirmed? If so, can I fix the volume to the pre outs? My plan was to set the initial volume to the zone 2 speakers on my deck to mute. therefore, when i activate zone 2 the audiosource automatically activates and runs the "zone 3" channels. If I then want music on the deck as well just up the volume to zone 2 on the 663. Thanks in advance for help and sorry for the long post! |
